Pianist Lillian Buss Pearson has performed across the U.S., England, Costa Rica, and China as a soloist and collaborator. Certified in the Alexander Technique, she formerly led the keyboard area at Western Carolina University, North Carolina. Dr. Pearson studied at Florida State University and the University of Illinois under Edward Kilenyi. She specializes in historically informed performance, including harpsichord and fortepiano, and has worked with international artists. Her solo orchestral credits include the Jacksonville Symphony (FL), Asheville Symphony (NC), Breckenridge Festival Orchestra (CO), Western Carolina Civic Orchestra (NC), National Chamber Players (NC), and Brandenburg Ensemble (FL). She participated in the Breckenridge Music Festival and Cullowhee Summer Music Festival and has accompanied many conferences and workshops.
